In geocaching, a log can be one of three things:
- A paper notebook, a sheet of paper, or similar item hidden in a cache container, on which hand-written logs can be recorded in the field. It may or may not be combined with a Stash note. See Hiding a cache and Finding a cache.
- An online record on a cache listing website of a successful find (smiley), or a DNF, or other log type. See Logging a cache.
- A piece of a tree used for hiding a cache container.
