Please log your DNFs (Did Not Finds).
Logging a DNF does not in any way decrease your standing in the community, and assists the cache owners and other geocachers greatly as it indicates that there may be a problem with the cache, where maintenance may be required, or that the difficulty rating might need to be adjusted.
