A crop circle in geocaching is the area of trampled vegetation surrounding the cache container at ground zero.
Crop circles are bad because:
- they damage the environment
- they give an obvious clue where the cache container is hidden
Try to avoid creating crop circles by hiding your cache containers away from delicate vegetation and when seeking a cache, treading lightly around ground zero.
