At the end of 2012, there were around 650 caches in the Northern Territory, mostly around the major regional centers but also in the more remote parks and spread out along the highways.

The highest concentration of caches is in the Darwin / Palmerston area with over 240 caches. For those who hate nanos and micros, about half of these caches fit into that category.
