Introduction
Welcome to the Geocaching Australia Wiki. We hope to use this to collect, manage and communicate useful documentation about Geocaching and Geocaching Australia.
About Geocaching
Geocaching is the free high-tech treasure hunt where you use your GPS Receiver to find Geocaches hidden by other Geocachers. It's a great way to be outdoors and enjoy the thrill of the hunt!
You don't need much to go Geocaching. At a minimum, you'll need to
- visit a Cache Listing Site to find out where the nearby Geocaches are
- grab a GPS Receiver
- enter the coordinates in the GPS Receiver (or use some Waypoint Management Software)
- go and find the Geocache
- log it online
