With thousands of caches in Australia, printing out cache summary pages for each one of them would be time-consuming and wasteful. Luckily there's some computer-savvy geocachers out there who have made our lives easier!
Waypoint Management Software allows you to download waypoints in GPX format to your PC so you can download them into your GPS Receiver. This saves you from re-typing coordinates.
The most popular Waypoint Management Software packages are:
- GSAK
- Cetus GPS
- Clayjar Watcher
- EasyGPS
- GPS Babel
- GPS Connect
- GPX Spinner
- GPXSonar
- GPXView
- iSilo
- Plucker
Overall, Aussie cachers prefer GSAK, partly because it's made by Western Australian geocacher Clyde, but mostly because it works well! The Geoaching Australia Forum has a support thread on GSAK.
