Waypoint management software allows you to keep lists of geocaches on your computer. Depending on your computer setup, you could download waypoints in GPX format to your GPS and cache descriptions to your PDA. This saves you from re-typing coordinates and printing out huge volumes of paper.
The most popular waypoint management software packages are:
Windows
- GSAK - Sorts caches, marks, links to map, etc. Supports GCA GPX
- CacheMate
- Clayjar Watcher - Similar to GSAK
- EasyGPS
- GPS Babel - Converts almost any format to any other.
- GPS Connect
- GPX Spinner - Converts GPX files to document format
- GPXSonar
Mac
Pocket PC
- iSilo - Document reader
- GPXSonar - View and manage GPX files. Freeware!
- BeeLineGPS
- GPXView - View and manage GPX files

Overall, Aussie cachers prefer GSAK, partly because it's made by Western Australian geocacher ClydeE, but mostly because it works well! The Geocaching Australia Forum has a support thread on GSAK.
