Geocaching Australia Guidelines
- There are no guidelines for hiding a Geocaching Australia cache. You must however, not break any laws when hiding your cache or cause any finder to break any laws when they are tring to find your cache. eg. Placing a cache on private property (without permission) and causing the finder to enter private property (without permission) would most likely be against the law of trespass. This would not be considered an acceptable hide.
Enforced Guidelines
- The geocaching.com guidelines are fairly well set in stone and are unbendable. They can be found here and in precis form here. They are treated as rules and if your cache doesn't meet the guidelines, it is unlikely to be approved.
Reference Guidelines
- The New Zealand Recreational GPS Society has developed an informal guide to geocaching in New Zealand. It is not meant to be a set of rules, rather a guide towards better geocaching. They are not enforceable.
