The previously prepared cache is placed. The existing material is scraped away and the cache placed on the ground. The excess material is placed against the cache and a bit extra put on top. Note how the leaves on the container match the existing plant material. Even in areas on the lid where the leaves don't cover the base paint was a reasonable match. (I have no idea what the green piece of scrap was doing in the litter!)
