This page contains information specific to Geocaching Australia.

A cache may have a number of potential status settings.

Draft

When you are first creating or editing your cache description and details, your cache status will be in draft. The cache will not be available or displayed to any members while the status is set to draft.

Future

Use the future status to plan a hide for a date in the future. This requires the hidden date to be set. On or around 00:00:01 AEST (GCA time) on the future date, the cache status will automatically be set to #available. Until this occurs the cache will not be available or displayed to any members while the status is set to future.
Please note: that if you leave the hidden date as "today" or a date in the past, your cache will not be made available until 00:00:01 the NEXT morning.

Unavailable

Use unavailable when your cache is temporarily unavailable. This may be due to maintenance issues or possible muggling. It indicates to seekers that the cache may be in need of repair or no longer there.

Available

Use available when your cache is ready to be found. If you have previously set your status to future, this status will be automatically updated at 00:00:01 on the hidden date.

Archived

Use archived when the cache is no longer available to be found and you wish to remove it from the the listing service.
