Hitch hiker
From GeoWiki
Hitch hikers are items in caches which are tracked over time. The first hitch hikers were objects with a logbook attached to them. Cachers would write their name in the logbook and put the item in another cache.
There are three types of hitch hikers:
- The original hitch hikers which are simply objects with logbooks and sometimes email addresses
- geocaching.com: Trackables (either Travel bugs or Geocoins)
- Geocaching Australia: Swaggies
The term Trackable is Groundspeak's version of hitch hiker.
