Geocaching Australia
This page contains information specific to Geocaching Australia.

The neighbours list is not quite as spooky as the mates list, but it can show who calls the same area home.

"How does the system know where I am?!?!"

The system uses the cacher coordinates entered in members' profiles to determine proximity and location. If you are are worried about geo-stalkers, put in the coordinates for your local pub or just make the last few digits zeroes to round it off.

"The suburb shown for my location is wrong!"

We do our best to guess suburbs based on a postcode database that does not have complete boundary information. Your location is calculated based on the nearest suburb coordinate, which might not be the one you're actually in, especially if you live in an oddly shaped suburb. Sorry 'bout that. :)
