Status
This page contains information specific to Geocaching Australia. |
There are a number of potential status settings for a cache.
Contents
Draft
Use draft when you are still editing your cache description and details. Your cache will not be available or displayed to any members while the status is set to draft.
Future
Use future in conjunction with a hidden date to set the status of the cache such that it will not be available until that future date. On or around 00:00:01 AEST (GCA time) on the future date, your cache status will be automatically set to available. Until this occurs your cache will not be available or displayed to any members while the status is set to future.
Please note that if you leave the hidden date as "today" or a date in the past, your cache will not be made available until 00:00:01 the NEXT morning.
Use unavailable when your cache is temporarily unavailable. This may be due to maintenance issues or possible muggling. It indicates to seekers that the cache may be in need of repair or no longer there.
Available
Use available when your cache is ready to be found. If you have previously set your status to future, this status will be automatically updated at 00:00:01 on the hidden date.
Archived
Use archived when the cache is no longer available to be found and you wish to remove it from the the listing service.
