Loading Caches onto a Garmin

  • Obtain a GPX file (or a GGZ file for newer Garmin units) containing the caches you would like loaded onto your unit.
  • Plug your device into your computer with a USB cable. It will mount like a USB drive.
  • Browse into the newly mounted drive. You’ll see a few files and folders – find the GPX folder and enter it.
  • Copy any of your GPX files into this folder.
  • Eject your GPSr and remove the cable. The unit may turn off when this happens. Once you restart the device, you should have a list of geocaches ready to go and find.
